The key to success - planning
Whoever told you there was a lot to organise when you first announced the wedding was right – there is! But it should all be enjoyable and most importantly it should be a team effort that sees the bride, the groom, both their parents and close friends all pulling together to prepare for the big day. Try not to upset people by taking over, but equally make sure you act interested and help out. The best way I can see for people not to step on each other’s toes is to split up all the jobs to be done and allocate them out to people. That way everyone feels like they’ve had their input into the day. Below is a suggestion of all the things that there are to do and what you might want to look after – that’s not to say you shouldn’t get involved in the other jobs but perhaps you can help rather than lead them.
